Picture Perfect
I can’t lie,
I can only show what is put in front of me.
I hold your smile digitally,
but in reality,
it doesn’t exist.
I can show off your life, your materialistic possessions,
but the photo is highly edited,
and the brightness is on full blast.
I focus on the picture in the lens,
it’s all about what I
see,
and what I can show everyone else.
If I can make it look perfect,
it doesn’t matter what’s going on behind me.
Everything else comes second,
even your real life,
everything else must make way for
your picture-perfect life.
Just point me in the right direction.
