My Girl Hacks

Hello Everyone.
So today I thought I would share with you some of the life/ beauty hacks that I have picked up over the years. Perhaps I share with you something you don't know and in some way change your life.  If so, let me know.

The first one is something that you won't be surprised  I am writing about because I have expressed my love for them on more than one occasion.
Boots (The hack that inspired me to write this post)
This is one of the newer things that I have found out. I bought a pair of going out boots, which go up to my ankles. However, I found that with some outfits I feel as though they look a little too short, which is incredibly annoying. So instead of buying ANOTHER pair of boots, I tried something else.
Black socks.
Only noticeable if you look carefully
If I put on a pair of black socks on with the black boots, I can pull up the socks and make them look like apart of the boot. Some people do notice it but I know that no one has ever said anything to me about it. It just adds some length to the boots if you need it, try it. Black socks are so cheap if you don't already have them and it saves you from buying another pair of boots. I am not talking about pulling the socks up to my knees, I think the higher the socks go, the more noticeable it becomes. But for me I just pull them up an inch or so and it makes all the difference. You're welcome.

Tights
For me this one was a life saver and because of this hack I basically wear tights everyday, which baffles some people because they don't think they're very comfortable. Anyway. Tights are annoying because no matter how tight they are on you, you always find yourself trying to pull them up. I always used to be in public trying to pull them up in a ladylike manner and made myself look weird and that I was doing something worse than just pulling my tights up. There is no lady way to pull up tights. Someone once told me this and it changed my life. If you put on another pair of pants over the tights, they stay up. The girl told me just a black thong would do but I found that my good old la senza no 'VPL' knickers works perfectly. Since trying this I have never had a problem with tights since, apart from constantly catching them on my ring and ripping them on a daily basis, but that is a problem for another day. Out of all the hacks this is the one that I can't recommend enough.

Cold Water
As a curly haired girl this is one I really appreciate. After washing your hair, rinse it out with cold water. This apparently stops the frizz and helps it grow faster. I have no idea why or how but since doing this I have really noticed a difference when it comes to the frizz in my hair. Try it out for a little while and see if it works for you if you can hack the cold. It was a game changer for me.
P.S You will have to prepare yourself for this as the cold water really is a shocker. I try not to get it on my body and just flip my head over but it really isn't nice but I promise it's worth the lack of frizz.

Uncomfortable Shoes.
Sometimes those special blister plasters can be expensive. So Instead if I have a new pair of shoes, I pad my feet out with sanitary towels. It works a treat and it's already sticky so there is no faffing about with Sellotape. Also they are the perfect shape for an insole too. In the past I have put sanitary towels in the bottom of my shoes if they were a little too big or just some extra padding for uncomfortable shoes. It's nice and cosy for your feet and I know it's a little weird but no one see's the insides of your shoes anyway.

So these are some of my most 'used' hacks. I am sure there are many more that I just can't remember so maybe look out for a part two for this post.

Thank you for reading.
