Girl Code - The Things you should always follow

The Girl Code is never stated to you, you are always just expected to know it. It's a great thing because I do believe that girls should stick together, however some things are exaggerated so I thought that it would be fun to write about what I think what you should always do for another girl if you can, of course...

Porn Star Martini, Perfect Cocktail for a post like this I think.
I thought this was something that would be interesting to write about since it's something that is kind of drilled into you throughout your pre teen and teenage year. It's one of those things you kind of  thing that you seem to automatically know but some people take it more serious than others. Looking at it up on the web I have noticed that on some websites, there are detailed rules written out, some a little more relaxed than others. Through my teen years I was part of a big girl group where following these rules were essential to keep in the friendship group and avoid having a target put on my back. As I got older I found myself having more friends who were boys and things like that don't matter as much.

Anyway, part of me thinks it is more important when you are a teenager, as you get older I feel like you don't need some code that must be followed, you can just use your brain to decide what is right and wrong. However, there are some things that I think is always good to do for another girl. So I would say this is my code, and perhaps not just for girls but for everyone.

Lend it if you have it.
So I am a firm believer in Karma and you might think that is stupid but I think even if Karma isn't  real it's a good thing to live by, it kind of makes you a better person. If a girl needs a hair band or a clip give it out if you can. I am very stingy when it comes to things like that, part of me thinks I am shooting myself in the foot if I give something out and then I'll need it later but there is nothing better than needing something so badly and then someone having it to lend out.

Respect that Relationship.
I think if someone is in a relationship you should respect that and leave it alone. Anyone who goes after someone with a girlfriend is horrible. Imagine being on the other side of that and having someone go out of their way to get with the person you're with. It's not a nice feeling and I would never want anyone to ever feel that way. Ever. I think a lot of the time it is the guys responsibility to say they're in a relationship but you don't want to be that person who breaks up that relationship. You don't want to be That girl.

Tell them!
If they have lipstick in their teeth or they're flying low, I think someone would appreciate it more if you told them about it rather than just leaving it. I know it can be awkward sometimes especially if you're a complete stranger but I am sure that girl will appreciate your honesty. Just make sure you tell them discreetly and not draw anyone else's attention to it though.

Help if you can.
If you see someone in need you gotta help them. Like if you leave a club and you see a girl who's very drunk wandering about. It takes nothing to make sure they are ok. Some guidance from you could help and perhaps prevent any potential danger. I think it's important to look after people even if you don't know them.

Finally but not really a 'code'
COMPLIMENT
This is so important I think. I mean how good does it feel when you get a compliment from a girl in the toilets or something. I feel like it means so much more coming from a girl for some reason. Anyway, that good feeling you have felt from that, you could give to someone else and it can sometimes make someone's night. If they're not feeling good about themselves or a little self conscious then you could change that for them. I think it's a nice thing to do and think that everyone should do it more often.

I think the girl code is about sticking together, Women haven't had it easy in history and still are facing problems today and the best thing you can do with that is stick together rather than being bitchy and fighting. Sometimes it does go too far and sometimes girls will gang up on someone out of jealousy or hate and that's wrong and I am so glad that I don't have girls like that in my life anymore.

I know, this post was a little random but after a fire of good ideas for blog posts I am going a little dry, but still it might have been interesting for you to read, you may agree or disagree. Anyway that's my ramble over.
